Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Luis Yerena, trading as Dirtysock Studios, of Queen City, Texas, USA (“we”, “us”), who runs BG Bully. By playing, creating an account or buying anything, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use BG Bully.
Who can play
- Anyone can play as a guest. You need to be 13 or older to create an account.
- To buy anything you must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian’s permission. You confirm this at checkout, and if you are under 18 your parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you.
- If someone under 18 bought something without permission, a parent or guardian can ask us for a refund (see the Refund Policy).
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person per account. Don’t sell, share or trade accounts.
- Your display name must not be offensive, hateful, sexual or impersonate someone else. We can change or remove names that break this rule.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account panel. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
Play fair
Don’t:
- cheat, use bots, scripts or modified clients, or exploit bugs to win or earn items;
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers or other players’ accounts;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, including through your name;
- deliberately lose, feed kills or team up with the other side to farm stats or rewards.
You can report a player from the match scoreboard. We review reports and may warn, reset stats or rewards, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Virtual items
- We sell cosmetic items (outfits, glows, titles and badges) and hero kits. A hero kit unlocks a hero with all of their abilities and ultimates.
- Everything in a hero kit can also be earned by playing, with Bloody Box Tops, the currency you earn in matches. A bought hero is exactly the same as an earned one: buying never makes a hero stronger.
- Box Tops are earned by playing and can’t be bought. Like items, they have no real-world value and can’t be cashed out, and we may change what things cost or pay in Box Tops.
- There are no loot boxes or random paid rewards: you always know exactly what you are buying.
- When you buy an item, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it in BG Bully. You don’t own it, it has no real-world value, and it can’t be sold, traded or exchanged for money.
- Prices are shown before you pay and include any VAT or sales tax we must charge. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Items are tied to your account and are usually delivered straight away. If something you paid for doesn’t arrive, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy. If you reverse a payment through your bank or card provider (a chargeback), the items from that payment are removed.
Changes to the game
BG Bully is in active development. We may change, rebalance, add or remove features, modes and maps. We will not remove a paid item from your account while BG Bully is running, except as these terms allow (refunds, chargebacks, or closing an account for breaking these terms).
BG Bully is in early access. Before we start selling, we may reset Box Tops, unlocks and achievements once for everyone. We will never reset anything you paid for.
If we ever shut BG Bully down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice on the site and stop selling items when we announce it.
Ending your account
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close an account for cheating, fraud or abuse, purchased items are lost and are not refunded, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Our responsibility to you
We provide BG Bully “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live, such as your rights for faulty digital content. Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, USA. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will tell signed-in players in the game before they take effect.
